They had it right 1000 years ago in using the apprentice system for teaching and training. It was hands on. The materials of the subject were in front of one. And one exerecised Control on the physical parts as well.
All three parts go hand in hand. Can't have one without the others.
In studying one is using the Knowledge part of the trio. Also use the other two. Get the subject matter in front of you physically and control it - that is, use it, find out how it works. find out if it does what the materials say it does. Take responsibility for it and its parts.
Increasing one of the three will also raise the other two quite a bit. If you are stuck on one of them and cant get much change with it then switch to one of the others and work it for a bit. This will loosen up the stuck one.
Conversely, you can lower your grasp of the subject by decreasing your control, your responsibility or your knowledge. (actually i dont' know how you decrease knowledge but its probably been done)
Success is made up of knowledge caring and control.
Failure is made up of ignorance, not caring and abandon.
There is no defense against persistent good feeling toward, and acceptance of others.
There is a set number of mistakes, and we all make them sooner or later.
