Learning is the one path we are ALL on -whether we like it or not.

Exploring

Exploring and enunciating aspects of Learning from both the viewpoint of a teacher of teachers and a teacher of students in the subject of learning. Inject humility where needed. Learn everywhere.

Attitudes

Life and living IS attitudes unless you are an ascended buddhist monk.  We have attitudes about everything. Look at something new, make a decision about it and voila - new attitude.

This means you have an attitude about everything you've ever looked at and decided what it was.

Which means you have a LOT of attitudes. These usually pile up and cause problems, like forgetting you made the attitude and having lost the moment of creation of the attitude its difficult or impossible to change it or discard it.  So just knowing you have an attitude allows your changing it.

example: it was the common attitude that circulation in the body was controlled by the tides. This attitude/belief originated with an ancient Greek named Galen. When Harvey put forth the idea that blood circulation was caused by the heart, one fellow said, " I would rather be wrong with Galen than right with Harvey". You see how one's existing attitudes can prevent learning new ones. - Maybe one could be afraid of admitting one did not know, out of fear of losing status amongst ones peers.

Knowing your attitudes and knowing different attitudes is a good thing to be aware of.

For learning, here are some attitudes to know about and use (or not use).

- "I know it all" - prevents further learning.

- "I don't know" -

- "I know some things about it"

Facts are things done. Attitudes are coloring after the fact.

Attitudes are ways of looking at things.

Attitudes are judgements about things.

Attitudes are not facts. Facts are things done.

Attitudes are coloring after the fact.

There is no defense against persistent good feeling toward, and acceptance of others.

There is a set number of mistakes, and we all make them sooner or later.

"Good Judgement comes from Experience.  Experience comes from Bad Judgement" - Will Rogers
