Amazingly, we, by nature disparage quite a bit. We disparage others when they disagree, we even disparage ourselves at times.
We disparage things we have already learned. "Oh, thats kids stuff", or "I already know that", as if reexploring known areas would kill us with boredom or something worse. Its almost as if, down deep, we shun learning.
If you take an area that you already know and just get quiet with it and then ask yourself 'what don't i know about this?' you will be in for a very rude surprise to find there is quite a bit about it you don't know.
You might discover then, that you are not really open to learning but just doing it because you have to or its cool or so you can show off or 'prove to someone else how superior you are'.
Wouldn't one think there were better reasons to learn?
What might those be?
There is no defense against persistent good feeling toward, and acceptance of others.
There is a set number of mistakes, and we all make them sooner or later.
